Weston Park is internationally reowned for its exceptional art collection, much of which was assembled in London in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century by Francis Newport 1st Earl of Bradford and his younger son, Thomas Lord Torrington. Amongst their collection was a painting of St Catherine - a copy of an important work by Domenichino which they recorded as being a work by Mary Beale.
