The town of Walsall and Weston Park have a long shared history, with street names in Walsall reflecting this relationship, such as Bradford Street, Earl Street, Mountrath Street and Countess Street. It is these close links which have inspired the Walsall Society of Artists to exhibit in the Granary Art Gallery as part of their 70th Anniversary year.
Founded in 1949 the Walsall Society of Artists is non-profit making and is organised for charitable purposes, with the aim of advancing education and community art for the people of Walsall and surrounding districts. Walsall to Weston brings together nineteen members exhibiting a wide range of work in various mediums.
