Weston Park Servants Database

Servants Database

The Weston Park Servants Database has been created by our staff and volunteers. It is hosted by the University of Wolverhampton’s Futures Department and their e-Innovation centre at the School of Technology in Telford. Students and tutors from the University created the database in 2009 with European Funding. Many of the original primary resources that are transcribed onto the database are located in the Bradford Collection which is deposited at the Staffordshire Archives. The Weston Park Foundation is grateful to its volunteers for uploading much of the information on the site.

Weston Park’s regular Behind the Scenes tours, that take place throughout the open season, give a fascinating glimpse into the world of the staff at Weston Park throughout the ages. If you are interested in learning more about the lives of the people who worked behind the baise door and also on the wider estates, then a look at our Servants’ Database is essential. Whether you are interested in family history, social history or just want to take a look into the past, using the database is easy – it is free to use and just a quick registration is required.
