The Hon. Mrs Rose Paterson

The Hon.  Mrs Rose Paterson – A Tribute

Rose had been a trustee of the Weston Park Foundation for the best part of 20 years and served as Chairman from 2014 – 2019, retiring last November.

The Weston Park Foundation is an independent charity charged with maintaining and preserving this beautiful estate for the nation.

She loved Weston and had a strong and passionate commitment to the work of the Charity.  She was instrumental in the on-going investments the Foundation made to the estate including the redecoration of the Drawing Room, many of the bedrooms, Lady Anne’s Memorial Garden, our holiday cottages and lastly the renovation of the Dining Room which was completed in February.

She took an obvious pride in her role as a Trustee, as Chairman and with her easy charm and dedication enriched the direction of the Foundation over the last 20 years.

Christina Kenyon-Slaney, Chairman of the Weston Park Foundation has said “Rose served as a Trustee, and later Chairman of the Weston Park Foundation for 20 years.  With her gentle charm, wise counsel and passion for the estate and its collections she enriched the work of the Foundation and we will always be truly grateful for her contribution.  Along with the team on the Weston Park estate, my fellow Trustees and I are deeply saddened by her passing.  Our thoughts are with her family at this time.”

She had a great regard for the team here at Weston and we are all deeply saddened by her passing.

We will recognise her contribution to Weston at a suitable time in the future.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this deeply sad time.
