An educational visit to Weston Park to find out about Traditional Toys includes:
A Making Activity - children make their own traditional toy to take back to school – such as a cup and ball or a wooden spoon doll.
A Visit to the Victorian Nursery where children are able to view authentic Victorian Toys and Nursery equipment and learn about life in the ‘big house’.
Victorian Costumes - children are able to dress up in traditional-style clothing of the era. (Please note costumes are not authentic).
Hands-on Indoor Toys where children will have the opportunity to play with old fashioned indoor replica toys including our full size Rocking Horse named “Freddie”.
Hands-On Outdoor Toys - children play with our replica old fashioned outdoor games such as quoits, marbles, hobby horses etc

The above activities are available during the Academic Years 2016- 2017 at the all inclusive price of £6.95 per child. Costs are based on a minimum of 20 children. Visits cater for a maximum of 70 children and we qualify 35 or less children as one group. Activities will be led by a member of the Learning Department. This experience is only available as a private visit from September until May. The day commences at approximately 10am and concludes at 2.30pm latest. A covered area is available for lunch.
