Russell Gilder Exhibition - Saturday 27th February 2010 - Tuesday 30th March 2010

Russell Gilder Exhibition

Weston Park's Granary Art Gallery welcomes Russell Gilder for a selling exhibition of his recent works throughout March.

Devon-based Russell has a strong link to the heart of England with many of his paintings inspired by the woodland areas of Shropshire. His large scale, hauntingly beautiful landscapes will fill the gallery with scenes of light flooding through the trees, reflections on sylvan pools of water with the poetic romanticism of ruined structures seen between the trees. The effect will perhaps create the illusion that the gallery itself is a woodland clearing.

Russell's exhibition will not only bring him back to the county which inspired him but also close to the town where he received some of his artistic training at Shrewsbury College of Art and Technology in 1993. His works reflect the diversity of his training in being on oil and board or canvas, steel plate etchings and works on charcoal and paper.

The sale of Russell's works offer an outstanding opportunity for collectors of contemporary works.
