The Midland Game Fair 2015

The highlight of many sporting enthusiasts calendar, the Midland Game Fair is very much welcomed back this September, bringing lots of family entertainment back in the Main Arena, an array of Grand Finals in many sporting disciplines plus an increasing portfolio of countryside activities for everyone to enjoy.

For years the Midland has remained one of the most celebrated and highly anticipated outdoor events in the National Shooting calendar.  Welcoming visitors in their thousands, the event welcomes every type of visitor through its gates, from the seasoned airgunner to the budding dog handler through to families simply wanting to shop the stores and try lots of countryside activities.

For 2015, visitors to the event can expect lots of exciting things to come including the superb Main Arena acts the Devils Horsemen, the Lamb National, CJ’s Birds of Prey and Shadow Quest Dog Display to name just a few a family displays to keep you entertained.

There’s the ever-popular feature areas returning to the Midland Game Fair for every sporting interest, including Gunmaker’s Row, Airgun Expo, Gamekeeper’s Row, the Falconry Village and the Working Dog Village, keeping fans suitably equipped, entertained and thoroughly informed. New and highly anticipated for 2015 too, visitors can check out the brand new Fieldsports Arena run by Next Generation Fieldsports.  Here you can get involved in everything from pigeon plucking, gun fitting advice to food preparation and building your own night vision equipment.

If that’s not enough, visitors can swot up on essential wilderness skills in the brand new Survival Camp.  The A Squadron Survival Camp welcomes ex-SAS legend, Bob Podesta MID, who will give lectures across the weekend on tried and tested techniques on survival; a must for all you outdoor adventurers.

With fishing’s finest demonstrating in the Prince Albert Angling Village, plenty of first class produce sellers in the Food Festival and the chance to buy lots of home and gardening goods within the Westridge Shopping Pavilions, this year’s final event of the season has plenty for everyone to experience.

Of course, not forgetting this year’s sporting line up too, there’s finals in the Great Wall Motor World Series Clay Shooting Final with Armsan and Promatic, the Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championship Final with Skinners Pet Foods, the European Field Target Championship and the Countryman’s Weekly Champion of Champions in the Terrier and Lurcher events.  There’s simply so much going on this year, you really do have to experience the two-day event for yourself.

The Midland Game Fair takes place at Weston Park on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September 2015.
