Weston Park, the stately home on the Shropshire \ Staffordshire border is delighted to announce the appointment of Gemma LeClare as Head Chef for the estate.
Gemma, 27, who hails from Newport, South Wales joins the team from her role as a circuit Chef working for clients including The Championships, Wimbledon at the All England Club, Swansea City Football Club and Royal Ascot delivering the finest food for corporate hospitality boxes and high profile events.
Gemma was born in South Wales and developed a passion for cooking at a very early age when helped her Mum with the Sunday roast. Her mother was Head Chef at the local pub and she started work there, first in front of house roles and then diving into the kitchen to start prepping where a love affair with food was born.
Possessing a fierce work ethic and drive, Gemma’s first Head Chef role came at 24 and career highlights include working with Michel Roux Jr at Henley Royal Regatta.
Gemma will lead and develop three very diverse offerings at Weston Park from the fine dining menus in the House to more casual and relaxed food in the Granary Grill & Deli
Commenting on her appointment Gemma said: “Weston Park has a long tradition and well established reputation for delivering excellent quality food and I am looking forward to adding my own signature to the menus on the estate.
I fell in love with the House when I saw it so I have packed up my whole life in South Wales to move to Weston Park and I am very excited about taking on this role.”

Gemma will be hosting her first masterclasses on a Christmas theme on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd November. Starting at 11am with coffee in the Granary Deli, Gemma will then demonstrate ideas for festive sweet and savoury dishes. Gemma’s Christmas Masterclass is £25 per person and includes coffee on arrival and a two-course lunch in the Granary Grill.
During the festive period Gemma’s menus will take centre stage for Weston’s Christmas Dine & Stay packages, Festive Afternoon Teas and throughout December in the Granary Grill & Deli.
Traditional Christmas Dine & Stay Friday 8th December, Roaring 20s House Party Saturday 9th December. Packages start from £399 with dinner only at £95 per person.
