Weston Park, the stately home on the Staffordshire/ Shropshire border will be hosting the quintessential Afternoon Tea this Mothering Sunday in the 17th century House.
In the beautiful Orangery, surrounded by the elegance and design of the Victorian generation, guests are invited to spend time with the family, with an Afternoon Tea to celebrate the occasion.
Weston Park’s Head Chef, Gemma LeClare, whose favourite area of the kitchen is her desserts, says ‘I love Afternoon Tea because we get to treat our guests to so many different sweets all in one! My favourite treat on this menu has got to be the white chocolate and Merlyns mousse cup which is absolutely divine, the perfect Mother’s Day luxury.”
On the menu are dainty finger sandwiches with delicious fillings, smoked salmon with cream cheese, and savoury tarts. For sweet, homemade cakes and classic scones with sweet strawberry jam and thick clotted cream will be the treats of the day.
Guests can enjoy a classic Afternoon Tea accompanied by a selection of speciality teas, or choose to enjoy a glass of fizz with a Prosecco Afternoon Tea.
Guests are also invited to explore the House, with rooms like the Library, the Drawing Room and the Dining Room open to wander, or make a day of it and see the rest of the Park and Gardens.
Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea takes place on Sunday 11th March 2018.
