The Midland Game Fair takes place at Weston Park, the stately home venue on the Shropshire \ Staffordshire border on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September and this year children under 16 will enter free of charge*
The Midland Game Fair is a great day out attracting visitors from across the UK from the seasoned airgunner, the budding dog handler and families enjoying the spectacular displays in the main arena.
New for 2014 visitors to the show can see the Shetland Pony Grand National and the Essex Dog Display Team in the main arena who join medieval jousters The Knights of Middle England, Ye Olde Redtail Falconry, Cyril the Squirrel and Countryside Heavy Horses.
Each countryside discipline has its own dedicated arena with plenty of live action and have a go opportunities in the fishing village, countryside arena and the falconry village.
For shoppers there are miles of stalls with the show having one of the longest gunmakers rows in the UK. The food village is home to artisan producers far and wide with lots of delicious food and drink to try and buy.
New for 2014: “Beer in the Park” will be situated on the Stables Lawn serving up real ale and great local food. Visitors to the show can put their feet up, relax, grab a hog roast, wood fired pizza and pint of Hobson’s real ale while soaking up the atmosphere of the show.
The Midland Game Fair is also home to the climax of many championship finals including the Great Wall Motor World Series Clay Shooting Final, the Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championship Final with Chudleys, the European Field Target Championship and the Countryman’s Weekly Champion of Champions in the Terrier and Lurcher events.
Adult tickets are £20 per person with under 16’s going free *when accompanied by a full paying adult.
