Weston Park, the stately home on the Shropshire \ Staffordshire border is encouraging families to get out and enjoy the outdoors this February half term and join in with a ‘Welly Walk’ around the woodland.
Following an exciting activity trail where children can learn about the importance of trees, along with having the opportunity to take part in fun practical activities like tree-dressing and photo competitions. In the afternoon, kids can get creative with craft activities taking place in the family friendly STUFF! Activity Room.
Claire Cumming, Education Manager has said, “this is a great opportunity for families to get out of the house and enjoy the great outdoors whilst they are off for the holidays. The ‘Importance of Trees’ theme is a great way to raise awareness amongst children about why trees are important and how we can protect them.”
The Granary Deli will be open and serving up freshly brewed hot drinks as well as homemade cakes, sandwiches and salads to be enjoyed after a day of fun in the park. Kiddie friendly lunch packs will also be available for purchase.
