Granary Bread for the Birds
As the cold weather continues staff at Weston Park, the stately home on the Shropshire / Staffordshire border, are feeding their garden birds with surplus bread left-over from the Granary Farm Shop.
Michelle Orban, Granary Farm Shop Supervisor at Weston came up with the idea when she saw a news item on how the recent cold snap will be affecting our feathered friends.
Michelle comments: "With the shorter daylight hours and difficulty finding food, birds need all the help they can get, we are distributing the left-over bread from the shop to the team here at Weston to take home and feed the birds."
