Foraging and feasting weekend at stately home

Weston Park is hosting a food lovers weekend retreat celebrating the rich and robust flavours of autumn on Saturday 8th November 2014.  Not only will guests indulge in a five-course tasting menu cooked up by the Head Chef, they will also take part in a foraging expedition and cookery masterclass, where they will find out how to turn the fruits of nature’s larder into comforting autumnal dishes to cook at home.

Weston’s orchards and woodlands will be bounteous with mushrooms, fruit and root vegetables at this time of year.  The Capability Brown landscaped pleasure grounds are also one of the best places to see the firey colours of the season, as vibrant reds and oranges sprinkled with yellows and pinks explode across the 1.000 acre estate.

Guests are invited to make themselves at home in some of the grandest parts of the house, from the historic Dining Room to the Victorian Library.  A relaxing night in one of Weston’s characterful period bedrooms will complete the luxurious country house experience.

Cookery masterclass with Head Chef Guy Day who will demonstrate the best ways to capture the flavours of autumn at home (with tastings along the way)
