    Weston Park, the magnificent stately home on the Shropshire \ Staffordshire border opens to the public for Easter fun from Saturday 12th April to Sunday 27th April promising plenty to do for all the family including Easter themed craft activities.

  2. Christmas Gifts and Treats - Christmas Food and Craft Fayre 2013

    Weston Park, the stately home on the Shropshire / Staffordshire border will be hosting its annual Christmas Food & Craft Fayre on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December with over 80 stalls showcasing the finest local produce and handmade crafts.

    The Fayre is a great place to start shopping for thoughtful and unusual handmade gifts and festive food.  Stall holders include ‘A Pie and a Pint’ from Coalbrookdale, Mahorall Farm Cider from Ludlow, Cherry Blue from Weston-under-Lizard, Hill View Hardy Plants from Worfield, the Mulberry Tree from Cannock and Mr Moyden’s Handmade Cheese from nearby Newport.

  5. Weston Park 'Ontarget' to host Summer Archery Events

    Weston Park, the stately home on the Shropshire / Staffordshire border is set to host two achery fun days on Sunday 28th July and Sunday 11th August.  Two sessions take place each day for a maximum of 12 archers, where families can get competitive and practice honing their skills with a bow and arrow.

  6. Weston Opens for the Summer Season

    Built in 1671 the, the former ancestral home of the Earls of Bradford is to explore from Saturday 25th May through to Sunday 8th September daily.

  8. Transport Show Postponed

    The 26th Transport Show which was due to take place at Weston Park on Sunday 31st March and Monday 1st April has been postponed due to the recent snowfall.

    Organisers, Transtar Promotions and Weston’s Park Operations Manager Stuart Craddock carried out a ground inspection this morning and deemed that due to the high water table and the condition of the ground that it would be not be suitable for the event to take place.

  9. Weston Park undertakes programme of restoration

    When Weston Park opens to the public in Spring / Summer 2013 it will have undergone more than a spring clean, as the 17th century stately home reveals a newly restored Orangery, bedrooms and family carriage.

    And in the gardens the Lady Joan Memorial Garden is undergoing a process of restoration to return to its original 1930's design.

  13. Autumn Artists in the Granary Art Gallery

    When he's not overseeing the education and conservation duties of Weston Park's historical collection; Gareth Williams is busy curating an impressive gallery of contemporary art every month in the stately home's modern art gallery in the restored Granary building.

    This autumn he has programmed a monthly selling exhibition of acclaimed British artists and a print making workshop with leading printmaker artist, Jo McChesney.

  22. Refurbishments at Weston Park

    Weston Park, the magnificent 17th century stately home on the Shropshire / Staffordshire border is undergoing some exciting refurbishments giving two bedrooms and the Middle Drawing Room new design schemes.

    Chief Executive Colin Sweeney and Curator Gareth Williams along with the Board of Trustees have been working with interior designers to develop schemes for the Middle Drawing Room on the first floor of the south side of the House and for Lord B and Lady B bedrooms on the top floor.

    Wind Prospect has submitted plans to South Staffordshire Council for six wind turbines each of which would be 412ft (126m) on behalf of the Bradford Estate. In recent reports on this item it was incorrectly stated that the Bradford Estate included Weston Park, this is not the case.

    The Granary Art Gallery at Weston Park, the stately home on the Shropshire / Staffordshire border is delighted to welcome Robyn Geddes from California for a selling exhibition of his recent works.

    Between 1978 and 1983 Robyn worked for Andy Warhol at The Factory in New York. Warhol, the creator of iconic silk screen images such as Marilyn Monroe and the celebrated Campbell’s Soup tins.

  50. Local Authorities Hail Successful V Festival 2010 Operation

    The operation at V Festival 2010, sponsored by Virgin Media, was today hailed a success by local authorities at the end of the two-day festival.

    85,000 people attended the festival at Weston Park, Staffordshire, which passed without incident, and saw the overall crime number down 40% from last year and a reduction in cars travelling to the site by 10%.

    Saturday 1st May will see the opening of a 70-seater restaurant in the grounds of Weston Park, providing picture perfect surroundings in which to enjoy high quality locally-sourced food and drink.

    The Granary Grill will complete the final phase of the restoration of the Granary building. The ambitious development project has already seen the transformation of part of the disused building into a farm shop and art gallery.
