Kids Get the Warmest Welcome

Many people’s perception of a stately home is that there is little for children to enjoy – not the case at Weston! Like an unguarded castle, we are ready to be invaded!

There is the miniature railway, woodland adventure playground and giant games for a start. And what child would not have the time of their life playing in the wide open spaces and safe parklands that Weston has in abundance?

The House itself offers a journey of discovery that often enthrals children. There is a friendly guide only too happy to offer nuggets of knowledge and titbits of historic gossip – it is a real insight that brings to life the daily routines and experiences of past generations.

Discovery Workshops

Our free indoor and outdoor Discovery Workshops allow youngsters to explore their creative talent as well as hunting out secrets hidden in the Park's woodlands.

Kids can go Pond Dipping for watery mini-beasts, go on a Tree Trail or play Plant Detective and learn more about Weston's many plants and wildlife. Indoor activites include clay modelling, toy making, creating mosaics and making your own flip-flops!

Workshops start from 11am on weekdays through to Friday 27th August.

Workshops are free and on a first come, first served basis, with spaces for 25 children per day.

Children must be accompanied by an adult and activities vary from day to day.
