Halls Valuation Days - Friday 9th April 2010 - Friday 3rd December 2010
Why wait for the Antique Roadshow experts to call when you can take your treasured heirloom's to the Granary Art Gallery for valuation? Fiona Bruce may not be in attendance, but experts from Halls, the Shrewsbury based auction house will be at your service in the unique enviroment of the art gallery on a monthly basis.
From pictures and furniture to porcelain, clocks, watches and jewellery, Halls covers all areas of fine and decorative arts and will be able to give free sales evaluations and even accept items for forthcoming sales.
The following advisory days will take place from 11am to 2pm - there is no need to make an appointment:

Weston Junior Open Art Competition - Monday 26th April 2010 - Sunday 1st August 2010
We are looking for talented young artists of the future this summer to take part in the first ever Junior Open Art Competition in the Granary Art Gallery this August.
Entrance costs just £2 and your work could be displayed alongside pieces by famous artists such as Turner and Hogarth.
The winner will receive a selection of quality artists' materials including: Reeves watercolour paint, paint brushes, Berol colouring pencils, Derwent Graphic and Studio Colour pencils and Artist Sketch book.

Entrants are aged between 0-16 years who are able to deliver and collect the entered piece. Works entered must be either framed on canvas and ready to hang.
Deadline for entries is July 15th.
Prizes are generously supported by Studiocraft Educational Supplies and the Weston Park Foundation.
