Weston Park has, on several occasions, welcomed artists from the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists to exhibit in the Granary Art Gallery. We are therefore thrilled that the society itself is bringing it’s own exhibition in which its member artists are considering the Capability Brown legacy.
Formed in 1821, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists is one of the oldest of British art societies. It is an artist-led charity that supports artists and promotes engagement with the visual arts through a range of inclusive activities; exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations. The Society owns and runs its own exhibition venue, the RBSA Gallery, located just off St Paul’s Square, near Birmingham’s historic jewellery quarter and a short walk from the city centre.
