Following the success of her previous shows, The Granary Art Gallery welcomes back South Shropshire based artist Penelope Timmis. Influenced by colour and movement, her brightly coloured floral, animal and landscape paintings will bring a dash of life to any home. She is particularly well known for her farm animal paintings which include cockerels and geese which surround her on her farm.
Having been an established artist for over 10 years, Penelope is an Associate of the Birmingham Society of the Arts and an Associate of the Society of Women Artists. She won best entry with the Royal Birmingham Society of the Arts (RBSA) in 2009 and was short listed for the Daily Mail “Not the Turner” Prize in 2004. In addition to exhibiting in Shropshire, Penelope has also been involved with solo and group shows in Wales.
As well as a large selection of her paintings on display, Penelope’s greetings cards and box canvas prints will also be on sale.
