Louisa has painted all her life.
The works that she will be exhibiting in the Granary Art Gallery at Weston Park in July are mainly still-lifes.
She loves painting strong patterns and shapes that enable her to combine a traditional style with abstract qualities. In Louisa’s collection you will see her particular interest in painting glass and mirrored services that show an unusual perspective and allow her to create compositions that fill the canvas with colour and light. Her detailed approach to art is achieved by using the highest quality materials; often using one of the finest brushes available, to add in the detail whether its a dew drop on a leaf, or a pattern on a damask table cloth. In addition, she always uses Winsor & Newton fine detailed canvases, prepared by sanding and the application of primer to achieve the smoothest of surfaces. Her style and designs have been recognised and featured in leading art magazines.
Louise runs a range of workshops focusing on creating still-lifes. She sells and exhibits throughout the UK; her most recent exhibition was at Malvern in Worcestershire where her work was described in the Worcestershire News as ‘Louisa’s still-lifes are superb examples of the genre – technically superb and glowing with rich colour’
We look forward to welcoming Louisa to the Granary Art Gallery.
