Celebrating 50 years – 50p admission

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

This year we will be celebrating 50 years of opening to visitors and on every Tuesday in June will charge just 50p for admission to the House, Park and Gardens.

In 1964 the 6th Earl of Bradford opened Weston so that visitors could take a look at the wonderful collection and explore the 1,000 acres of Capability Brown Parkland.

On Tuesday 3rd June visitors can take a look at the newly re-decorated Drawing Room, enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Lady Anne’s Memorial Garden, recently opened by HRH The Duke of Gloucester and take a walk through one of Capability Brown’s rare pleasure grounds – Temple Wood.

Set in 1,000 acres of Capability Brown Parkland the estate is open to visitors during the summer months.  The House contains an internationally important art collection including works by Van Dyck, Lely and Gainsborough, there are beautiful formal gardens, woodland walks to enjoy and spectacular follies to admire.
