To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Capability Brown Head Gardener Martin Gee will lead four seasonal guided walks across the estate to reveal Brown’s legacy in all its glory.
Martin will explore Weston’s entire landscape story from Brown’s original plans, what did they mean to Sir Henry Bridgeman who commissioned the work and what is Brown’s legacy today.
Putting Brown in context
Martin will take a more detailed look at the work of Brown, using the original plans of the layout to interpret what was achieved and the legacy that this has bestowed.
The walk starts at 10.30am and admission is payable on the day
