Joss Cole is a painter and artist who lives in Yorkshire and works with Acme Studios Deptford, London. He holds a first class degree in Fine Art from the University of Loughborough and he completed an MA in Fine Art at UAL Wimbledon College of Art. Cole’s paintings are based on a conceptual link between poetry, visual art and life. For the works at The Granary Art Gallery, he is drawing on what Emily Dickinson calls a, ‘brighter garden’, with paintings of parks, fields, trees, plants, people and places where a creative epiphany might occur.
